Yes, we understand that you wanted to pack less, but sometimes you have to get your wardrobe ready for anything that may come up that requires a different outfit. Weather, surprise event, or a new love found abroad! So we are giving you packing tips on how to fit more stuff in your suitcase.
1. Roll your clothes
Well-traveled people probably aware about this secret: You don’t just fold your clothes, you roll them. Here’s an image from Brightside that will help me with my point:
2. Use your shoes
Of course you’d bring your shoes, so maybe put it into some use. Put some of the stuff that would fit in it, so you’ll have extra space. How brilliant, right?
3. Use zip-lock bags
Buy zip-lock bags in various sizes and fill them in. It will help you shrink bulky clothes like jackets and sweaters into compact unit, wrinkle-free.
4. Bundle packing method
This method will allow you to fit more in your luggage, it will prevent anything from folds, creases and wrinkles. Fill a small pouch with soft material items like socks, underwear and etc. and the wrapping the larger clothing items around the pouch to form a bundle. Here’s an image from United Explorers to show you how it’s done. Click the link for the video.
5. Zip it and add more
Have you tried zipping in the overflowing stuff in your luggage, then shoving it so hard that when you open it again, it creates more space for extra stuff? Well, it works. Try it.
That’s all, folks! I hope these points help you with your packing. 😉
